Beginning the season as members of the Grants Pass High School team, Steelquist and Moore joined the newly formed Athletic Club in December.

The Medford Mail described the game between the A.A.C. and Medford as "one of the best exhibitions of football given in Southern Oregon this season".

In 1904, the club acquired four acres on the west edge of Grants Pass where they built baseball and football field along with a grandstand at a cost of $950.00.
