Beginning the season as members of the Grants Pass High  team, Steelquist, and Moore joined the newly formed athletic Athletic Club in December.
 
The Medford Mail described the game between the A.A.C. and Medford as "one of the best exhibitions of football given in Southern Oregon this season".

In 1904 for the club acquired 4 acres on the west edge of Grants Pass where they built baseball and football fields and a grand stand at a cost of $950.00.
