In 1907, the season started with the "Old Independents" facing off with the "New Independents".  The "Old" team included: C.F. Matson (C), P. Williams (G), Edward Archer (T), W. Kronholm (T), O.Gulovsen (T), G. Gulovsen (T), W. Lynch, J. Doyle (E), C. Johnson (E), A. Matson (QB), J. Cowan (HB), J. Bernitt (HB), S. Bernitt (FB), D. Rhodes (G).  The "New" team included: Kruger (T), Neama (T), Juza (E), Davenport (G), Hoglund (C), Lasilla (G), Juza (T), Abbott (E), Johnson (HB), Gagnon (HB), Elrod (FB), Weaver (QB).  After playing each other, the winner was to play the high schoolers in a double-header.  The Independents battled to a tie, then the "old" team took on the high schoolers falling 6-2 on an 85-yard breakaway with Jimmy Cowan missing on a diving tackle. 

The charity games in the 1930's with Marshfield would help provide funds fot the North Bend Central Relief committee resurrecting the North Bend Independents 15-years later.
