The Bombers were one of the first attempts to put together an all Indian team from the Quinault reservation near Grays Harbor.  15 players suited up for their first outing against the Bellingham Jets on September 12, 1965.  Benny Charley, Richard Charley and Guy McMinds were enrolled at Grays Harbor Junior College.  Howard "Buck" Logan was the team coach, quarterback and punter having attended the Chemawa Indian School in Salem, Oregon before enlisting in the US Navy at the close of World War II, returning to Moclips High to graduate high school and then join the US Marine Corps.
