George
McMillan played both ways in 1900 as a defensive lineman
and halfback starring for the Winged M's. The
former Stanford collegiate who took the great "Pudge"
Hefflefinger to task and won praises from him, was voted
as Northwest Player of the Year by the Portland
Oregonian and San Francisco Examiner newspapers.
Following
the season he was offered the position of physical
director (Athletic Director) of the University of Idaho
which he turned down to remain with the MAAC.
