SCOTT LAZOR ![]() (no picture currently available) Pierce County Bengals / Auburn Panthers Offensive Tackle 1978 - 1981; 1984-1986 Scott Lazor stepped on to the field for the Pierce County Bengals in 1978 as one of the biggest men to don the black and orange. Standing 6'6" and just over 250lbs, the former Eastern Washington standout and recent spring graduate struck an imposing view to edge defenders who averaged 6'1" 230lbs in the Northwest International League.
"Laser" became an immediate star and 1st Team All-League selection on the undefeated 1979 team that claimed the Pro Football Weekly Semi Pro National Championship.
Beginning his semi-pro career just as the dominant Bengals found themselves on shaky ground with the league, many teams not wanting to be in the same league with the 6-time league and now 2-time National Champions ('77, '79), Lazor stayed with the Bengals and was a key player announced to be returning in 1981 to anchor the Bengal line on a team that would mark the end of the Steve Harshman era.
The Fife native enjoyed another strong run with one of the most dominant teams in semi-pro history when the Auburn Panthers formed in 1984 where he continued his All-League performances through the 1986 season. During his tenure with Auburn, the Panthers went undefeated and amassed three league championships and National Championship nod after defeating the Chicago Cowboys.
