A member of the Idaho Contact League, the former 8-man team moved up to 11-man along with the rest of the league in 2015.  Struggling for consistency after opening the season 2-0 with dual shut out wins, a four-game losing streak finally came to an end with the second meeting with the down trodden Canyon Phoenix. Backing their way into the playoffs, Valley was able to knock off their rival Mountain Home Warriors in the opening round, only to get smoked by eventual champion Tribe 70-6 in the semi-finals.

The Rangers floundered to a 3-5 second season of ICFL play, struggling offensively down the stretch and missing the playoffs.

2017 started inauspiciously with a 24-6 loss to the Diggers who had made the move to the ICFL from the Rocky Mountain Football League.  Valley would go 5-2 over the next seven weeks, however the offensive struggles reappeared in games with the Tide and Tribe in back-to-back 40+ point losses.  In June, the offensive wheels came off as the Rangers lost the final two regular season games and were blown out of the playoffs by the Diggers who posted book-end wins over the Rangers in 2017.

After that rough ending to just the 2017 season, but the 2016 season where offense vanished at the end of the season, the Rangers ceased operations to reorganize for the 2018 season.

When Paul Moore brought a team back to the ICFL it would under the rebrand of the Boise Savage for the 2019 season or as they were known on social media:  "Team Savage".
